EUCAS 2019 will lead to two separate publications for work presented at the conference. Full details of the paper preparation and submission processes will be published in March 2019.
Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS)
All authors of accepted abstracts (oral or poster) will be invited to submit a paper to the conference proceedings which will be published in theJournal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal from Institute of Physics Publishing (UK). Only work presented at the conference will be included, and only one paper per registered attendee may be submitted.
The submission deadline for the JPCS paper will be midnight Tuesday 3rd September 2019 (during the conference week). Papers should be no more than 4 pages long. JPCS paper submission will be online only (website to follow) with the peer-review process organised by the EUCAS 2019 Publication Committee. Papers accepted following peer-review will be published online in April 2020.
Special Issue of Superconductor Science and Technology (SUST)
In addition EUCAS 2019 will publish select papers of outstanding quality in a Special Issue of Superconductor Science and Technology (SUST) which is an international, multidisciplinary journal on all aspects of superconductivity. All contributions to the Special Issue will be expected to report new and original results, and will be peer-reviewed in line with the usual editorial criteria for the journal.
The submission deadline for the Special Issue papers will be after the conference on Tuesday 15th October 2019, with accepted papers expected to be published online from March 2020. Invitations to submit a paper to the Special Issue will be sent to the Keynote speaker and all Plenary and Invited speakers before the conference. The list of invited speakers will be finalised after abstract submission, following a meeting of the International Scientific Programme Committee in April 2019.
In addition, a number of contributing speakers nominated by conference session chairs will be invited to expand their submitted JPCS paper into a full, original, internationally competitive research paper for consideration in the Special Issue. (Keynote and Plenary speakers can submit a review paper relating to their talk. Invited speakers will be invited to submit an original research paper related to the theme of their session).
